Our General Coordinator, Hamza Bakan, and Quality Manager, Fatma Uray, participated in the event organized by BUSİAD to showcase best practices.

Organized by the Textile Working Committee of the Bursa Industrialists and Business People Association at the BUSİAD House in Kültürpark, the “Sustainability and Brand Expectations in the Textile Sector Seminar” brought together sector stakeholders and company professionals. Our Quality Manager, Fatma Uray, who spoke at the event where sustainability, representing balance in all areas, was the common theme, shared that we are developing sustainable raw materials and alternatives for a better future and highlighted our company's best practices in sustainability.

Uray noted that our efforts aim to minimize environmental impact through the use of recycled raw materials, recycled fabric production, and reduction of our carbon footprint, adding, “In addition to approximately 3.5 tons/day of waste from our processes, we also ensure first-quality production by using textile waste obtained from licensed waste collection companies.”

In addition to sustainable fiber production, Uray emphasized that water is one of the resources rapidly decreasing due to global growth and warming, discussing our water consumption initiatives, stating, “With the pool we created (1,500 m2) + approximately 7,500 m2 of rainwater collection on roofs + 9,500 m2 at central roofs, we are collecting rainwater.”

The event, which drew significant interest from attendees, concluded with BUSİAD Chairman Buğra Küçükkayalar presenting books to the speakers as gifts.
